Dove’s ‘Real Beauty’ is True?

More videos around this campaign are available at Real Beauty Sketches—Dove.

Dove invites us to ‘Imagine a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety’. I imagine that in this world women use Dove products.

Some historical perspective on ‘What is beauty’; it’s a long running debate:

When old age shall this generation waste,
Thou shalt remain, in midst of other woe
Than ours, a friend to man, to whom thou say’st,
“Beauty is truth, truth beauty”—that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know. (Keats, 1820)

Dove tells women in this campaign, ‘you are more beautiful than you think’—but is this true?
